BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY

“The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” Joel Coen , Ethan Coen

“BlacKkKlansman,” Charlie Wachtel, David Rabinowitz, Kevin Willmott, Spike Lee

“Can You Ever Forgive Me?,” Nicole Holofcener and Jeff Whitty

“If Beale Street Could Talk,” Barry Jenkins

“A Star Is Born,” Eric Roth, Bradley Cooper, Will Fetters

This could go any which way between BlacKkKlansman, Can You Ever Forgive Me, and A Star is Born, if you ask me. Beale Street should be a more serious contender but since this Academy has LOST ITS COLLECTIVE DAMN MIND and only given it a few noms, my guess is iit’s out of the running. So, given the general popularity of BlacKkKlansman over Awards Season, I’m placing my bet here. Plus, it’s a fantastic film, so it would be entirely deserved. Any upset would most likely come from Can You Ever Forgive Me?, especially if Richard E. Grant takes Best Supporting Actor.

Editor-in-Chief - I'm overworked in the tech industry and started this charming little blog so I could rant about movies, tv, pop culture, politics, and whatever the hell else I feel like talking about. I've conquered Comic-Con many times, and my love for Star Wars is a little bit embarrassing. I'm also hungry all the time.
