Totally Unreliable and Slightly Profane 75th Golden Globes Predictions

The Shape of Water, 2017

Best Director — Motion Picture

Guillermo Del Toro, The Shape of Water

Martin McDonagh, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Christopher Nolan, Dunkirk

Ridley Scott, All the Money in the World

Steven Spielberg, The Post

Winner: What the hell is Ridley Scott doing here? Truth be told, I haven’t seen All the Money in the World, but given that Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name was nominated and it was gorgeous and stunning and heartfelt (and I actually saw it), how did All the Money in the World sneak in? Having said that, it might be really good. I’ll let you know. Anyways. THAT won’t win. Neither will Spielberg or Nolan. Once again, Three Billboards is really getting traction in Awards Season at the moment, so it could win? It had better not. It was good, but there were so many better movies. Like Blade Runner 2049, which isn’t even nominated. But my money is once again on fish love, so it’s gotta be Guillermo Del Toro for The Shape of Water.

Editor-in-Chief - I'm overworked in the tech industry and started this charming little blog so I could rant about movies, tv, pop culture, politics, and whatever the hell else I feel like talking about. I've conquered Comic-Con many times, and my love for Star Wars is a little bit embarrassing. I'm also hungry all the time.
