Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture

Willem DaFoe, The Florida Project

Armie Hammer, Call Me by Your Name

Richard Jenkins, The Shape of Water

Christopher Plummer, All The Money in the World

Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Winner: You know what, I can totally see the HFPA pulling something whacky like giving it to Christopher Plummer. Who’s probably amazing! But I wouldn’t know, I haven’t seen it. But who in the hell has seen All The Money in the World?? So, I’m gonna say no on Plummer. So he’ll probably win. DaFoe would be a good bet because he’s kind of cornering the market on being in that movie nobody saw but you heard he was really good in. Sam Rockwell could legitimately get a boost from the Three Billboards wave, but his character is hugely problematic to many, despite how well he brought the character to life. But something tells me that this is going to go to Richard Jenkins, who gives an incredibly warm, genuine, and sincere performance in The Shape of Water. Plus, I fucking LOVED him on Six Feet Under. My methods are obviously very scientific, as you can see.

Editor-in-Chief - I'm overworked in the tech industry and started this charming little blog so I could rant about movies, tv, pop culture, politics, and whatever the hell else I feel like talking about. I've conquered Comic-Con many times, and my love for Star Wars is a little bit embarrassing. I'm also hungry all the time.
