Totally Unreliable and Slightly Profane 75th Golden Globes Predictions

David Kaluuya, Get Out

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy

Steve Carrell, Battle of the Sexes

Ansel Elgort, Baby Driver

James Franco, The Disaster Artist

Hugh Jackman, The Greatest Showman

Daniel Kaluuya, Get Out

Winner: This is totally between James Franco and Daniel Kaluuya. It’s possible that Hugh Jackman could pull an upset because he’s literally never upset anyone in Hollywood, but The Greatest Showman has gotten only a lukewarm reception so far this season. Get Out is really enjoying a resurgence of popularity despite its February release, and let’s face it, you KNOW the HFPA is itching for a politically relevant speech at some point during the night, which could come here or with its Best Picture nomination. Most money is probably on Franco, for not only directing but starring in the critically-lauded Disaster Artist. So, the safe bet would be Franco. But to hell with it, David Kaluuya for the win! (It’s probably Franco, btw)

Editor-in-Chief - I'm overworked in the tech industry and started this charming little blog so I could rant about movies, tv, pop culture, politics, and whatever the hell else I feel like talking about. I've conquered Comic-Con many times, and my love for Star Wars is a little bit embarrassing. I'm also hungry all the time.
