Winner: This is only between Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan. Robbie totally owns the role of Tonya Harding while making her vulnerable and sympathetic, while totally twisted and damaged. She really is brilliant in it, and I will not be made at the HFPA if they give it to her. But I gotta go with Saoirse Ronan in Lady Bird, for capturing all of the messy, imperfect, bratty nuances of teendom with total perfection.
